What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient, natural, and non-invasive energy healing practice that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and supports the body's natural healing processes. It can help with a variety of challenges, including unresolved trauma, body aches or injuries, chronic pain, and more, guiding you toward a greater balance and self-healing at your own pace.
The word Reiki means "Universal Life-Force". It connects you to your higher self, like plugging in a lamp: the wiring is already inside you, Reiki helps you tap into your own energy and power.
What to expect:
During a Reiki session, Kelby uses gentle, hands-on touch (unless you prefer otherwise) and may incorporate sound healing or crystals. Each session is unique and may include intuitive insights, emotional releases, or physical sensations such as warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation.
Talking is welcome, as sharing your thoughts and emotions can be a powerful way to release stuck energy. If you prefer a silent session, that's completely fine too. It's all about what makes you comfortable. You know how you heal best, so trust yourself.
"But... is energy work even real?"
Reiki outperforms placebo in reduction of stress, depression and anxiety, and has produced a significant decrease in the pain scores of research subjects. Reiki has been associated with increased activation of the parasympathetic/vagal system and has been shown to create changes in heart rate variability in people recovering from acute coronary syndrome.
Still Waters Reiki is unique in our focus on The Metaphysical Theory of Water. Researcher and Author Masaru Emoto claimed that if you expose "positive" words, music, or thoughts to water, the frozen water crystals that form will show beautiful, regular geometrics; whereas "negative" words or intentions will produce less harmonious, irregular crystals.
As all humans are made mostly of water, the thought that water can drastically change based on the energy you put into it speaks volumes about the state of our bodies. Not only do we at Still Waters Reiki help you balance your energy, we can help you molecularly change your body into a state that can truly help you heal and find satisfaction with yourself, becoming integrated in mind, body, and spirit.
Sound Baths have been proven to reduce stress, lower heartrate, reduce pain, increase muscle relaxation, improve sleep, and better vital signs. It has also been shown to better sensitize the cells of subjects going through chemo therapy, making the therapy more effective. Subjects report feeling more balanced, integrated, and vitalized.
